As a third-culture kid, trilingual, growing up in an international environment, I have always enjoyed meeting people from different backgrounds, and I embrace inclusivity and diversity. As a major in Economics and Management at Kyoto University, I have taken my academics beyond the classroom into real responsibilities and opportunities. Some of my roles include the Accounting and Partnerships Manager for the Korean Students Association, where we strategize financial operations and cultivate global partnerships with companies and organizations. I am also responsible for PR and marketing as well as partnerships for developing an online platform for students. My professional interest also reaches beyond my academic major. With fluency in English, Korean, and Japanese, I enjoy learning new languages which is reflected in my pursuit of French and Italian. Moreover, I am an enthusiast in astronomy and astrophysics and have taken many opportunities on the way, conducting simulation research for supernova remnants. With such a background and interest, I have been seeking ways to engage in communication and collaborate with various individuals, which was my main motivation for forming Tomotomo, and realizing the connection of university my goal of fostering a vibrant, interconnected student community.

I am a forever learner, ready to jump into new and exciting situations whenever possible. It's not always easy, with unavoidable failures and hardships within the journey, but it has never deterred me from finding a way. This adaptive ability is the love child of the many years of moving from country to country. With each new journey, I was faced with new challenges to tackle, forcing me to find ways to blend in and make friends, and even share my own colors. And it is through this experience I have come to love engaging with others and building communities of all sizes. I ultimately joined Tomotomo after hearing about what they were aiming for, to build a platform that connects people. To build a medium that closes the gap between person to person. It was a wonderful thing to listen to, and ultimately what got me to join the group. With my unique background and experience, I plan to mix my own colors into the Tomotomo team by leveraging all the unique experiences I have with people and ultimately provide as many users as possible with the ability to connect and potentially build friendships that will last a lifetime.
