Fostering an environment for communication and collaborative innovation

We, the TomoTomo team, are students from Kyoto University who have experienced firsthand both the inconvenience of the absence of a community to connect, as well as the power of such a community in more than simply connecting, but also creating and taking action.

We share a core belief in the immense potential and opportunity that remain hidden within the community of Japanese universities.

We intend to bring out that potential, by creating a space for vibrant university communities that can foster the exchange of ideas and opportunities. Our app, Orbit will combine fundamental functions necessary for university life such as timetables, lecture information, and notice boards, with engaging game elements and intuitive social networking features to encourage collaboration and thus spark transformative change in our society. Through gamification of interactions and leveraging the power of social connections, we intend to bring the best of both worlds together. The space we provide will create a dynamic environment where small actions within the university community can lead to unimaginable societal impact.
